Well now, that's interesting.

I got home from a dinner engagement last night and discovered that my swamp cooler decided to go all "Water Park" on me.

I twisted this knob and turned that knob.  Nothing I tried would remedy the situation.
I jumped on the phone and called Jake, "Houston, we have a problem."
I just needed to turn this other knobby, that doesn't look like a knobby, and it shut it down.  It was a leak in the hose that feeds the water to the swamp cooler.

The forsythia and the dog LOVED it.
Momma, not so much.

I tried to take a picture of the rupture but it didn't turn out.
So I took a picture of my wet legs instead.
Jaker will get me taken care of this Saturday.  We just need some new hose - I use plastic not copper so the expense is not that great.  It 'should' be an easy fix.  She said giggling nervously, hoping she hadn't cursed anything.

  1. We are having plumbing issues of late too.

Makes me sad that I'm no longer living where a swamp cooler can be used instead of a furnace.

    1. I am glad that the furnace days are behind us for a while. Though without the swamper the house will feel quite toasty until it is fixed. ;)

  2. Oh, shame, I hope you get it sorted out. At least you did not get too terribly soaked.

    1. Yeah, it wasn't too bad. It was kind of fun and exciting at first. There was all this water and I had no idea where it was coming from. Kind of like my own little rain storm.
