And then life went bonkers...

This has been a crazy summer.  I will be happy when life settles down once more.  Every time it seems as if it is about to settle, something erupts.  The latest is on the work front.  What can you do but just keep smiling.  = )

I walk Chester during the wee hours of the morning and there are two bright stars (Yes Doug, planets) and I've meant to find out more about them.  Venus and Jupiter - they stand one above the other in the morning sky and it is quite spectacular.

On July 14 I guess the moon will join the line up and is supposed to look something like this.
That's the morning I fly out to meet up with DH for two weeks of relaxation.  After this summer I am major going to need those two weeks.

It's a lame blog post but there you have it.  If the gods are kind the next will be from the Bahamas.

  1. Fingers crossed...no more excitement...just rest and relaxation.

  2. The stars are aligned on the day that we reunite. How wonderful. Of course, they aren't stars, they're planets (plus a moon), as I'm very happy to see you noticed.... (and yes, I'm very pleased to see that you're astronomically astute)... but still... the fact that they're aligned on that day surely must be a good omen.

I can't wait to see you again! I spent the morning scrubbing the boat to make it look all nice and pretty for you. Too bad I can't do much about MY appearance, but at least I can make the boat look nice.

  3. Ahh sweet.
I must be lame, too, cause your post didn't seem lame to me.

  4. Lame? Not hardly! Sweet. And informative.

With a bonus comment from your Beloved.
    What's not to like?!

  5. Definitely sweet. And since I was up and about at 5:15 am I can tell you that yes, the moon and planets did indeed look like that only better since it was for real. I took a picture which is terrible and texted Julie to go out and look at it since I figured she'd still be up, which she was.

How was the reunion? Or shall I just use my imagination?

  7. This is the first chance I've had to comment so I'll just do a blanket comment.

It has been good here, but all I do is sleep. Generally I'm up very early and have several hours to write or what not. DH is getting up before me on most days. Then I take a nap in the afternoon only to crawl into bed early. But while I'm up it is wonderful. ahahahaha

I knew it had been a rough summer but didn't realize how rough until I got here and slept, slept, slept. I do seem to be catching up on the sleep now. I did get up before DH this morning, by minutes, but hey I beat him up. Gotta count for something. ;)))
