Before I share pictures from their trip accross the ocean I have to tell you how sad I was on Saturday. It was the last day of Chocolate Boot Camp and I hadn't signed up for July because I am going to be out of the country for two weeks. Doesn't mean I won't be writing, I just won't always have access to the internet.
After two months the thought of not thinking about chocolate made me sad. =...(
But I asked if I could play even it I couldn't always update and I got a thumbs up. YaY!!
Okay now for the fellas and their crossing.
They dodged a storm but did experience a microburst. The winds went from 10 to 48 knots in 60 seconds. There was some scrambling to reef the sails I can tell you!! That or hanging on for dear life.
They left the Chesapeake Bay during rush hour apparently and there was a ton of ship traffic that they had to dodge. That is always - interesting. Especially when I'm at the helm and DH is below.... I get a bit nervous, so I'm glad that it was them and not me. ;)
DH loves to drag a line when he's in the ocean and this time was no different. Here's a close up of a fish one of the crew caught.
Martin's Fish
One of the other crew members caught a fish too. I'm thinking he used Martin's bait, er I mean fish to entice this bad boy.
Trevor's Fish
No trip is complete without Dolphins dancing with the bow
or a sunset.
Tomorrow they are off to explore the islands and see what wonders they can find.
Glad to hear that everyone is safe and sound on board. That looked like a baby flying fish didn't it?
ReplyDeleteI thought it looked like a flying fish too.
DeleteYes, it was a flying fish. We didn't actually "catch" it. It landed on our deck as it was flying along and we just picked it up, took a picture of it, and then threw it back.
DeleteSee? I knew I should've stowed away. *sigh* Looks beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteYou'd have more fun stowing away with me in a couple of weeks. All they had was ocean, ocean, stars, ocean and more ocean. I'm gonna have beaches, ocean, fun, easy sailing and general relaxation. ;)
DeleteI don't think I would like sailing but I do enjoy it vicariously through you. What a cute little fishy.
ReplyDeleteI like sailing the way we do it. DH does all the REAL sailing stuff. I do all the little sailing stuff, going from island to island. Fun, sun, beaches relatively stress free.
DeleteI'm back in bootcamp and SO glad you're there! :-)
ReplyDeleteYipee for safe arrivals (and departures)!
ReplyDeleteThe water is gorgeous. And so is the dolphin. ;)
