I had a bulldog growing up. When he passed (old age - he died under a bush he loved) My dad asked us if we wanted another. How can you replace a dead one? We all said "no", but the love of the breed passed to my daughter and now, for now, I am blessed with this snoring, farting, strange little creature.
Awwwww
