DeleteGotta love Foxtrot. I don't mind the details at all but I don't remember the names very well... so I am not the one saying, "Oooh look at Alph Centarus over there"
ReplyDeleteDH taught me a way to remember the stars in the big dipper - he does it with his Astronomy class. But I have to admit -- I don't remember any more. ;)
DeleteI don't know them and won't remember them but I am impressed by people who do.
ReplyDeleteIt is impressive to know all the stars -- my brain is not big enough to contain all that knowledge.
DeleteWhen I was a child my dad taught me how to find the big dipper, Orion, and Gemini. So walking out under the stars and picking out a couple constellations is a Happy Inner Child activity for me.

Yeah, I see stars too. My dad would be ashamed though 'cause he imparted a LOT of his self-earned astronomical wisdom to me when I was a kid. But I kind of forgot it all. Still want a telescope though ;)
