NaBloMo Day 20

Not a clue what to blog about.  This every day thing is tough.  So I guess it will be random thought day.

Have you ever had one of those days when you wake up and KNOW you've lost IQ points in the night? Well, that was me this morning.  When I was walking Chester my mind wasn't on my story or looking for predators lurking in the dark.  Nope, I was just blissfully walking along noticing the Halloween decorations and commenting on them to Chester.

I was talking to random cats who listened patiently.  Now generally when I talk to the cats it is Chester's clue to go "Cat? Cat? Where?" waggle, waggle, romp, romp.  Not today, he just kept on sniffing and doing his own thing.  I guess because I'd been prattling on about the decorations Chester had stopped listening.  Typical man!

  1. They seem to be getting those decorations out earlier every year...It wasn't even Thanksgiving here and they were out on lawns and in windows. We have the same problem with Christmas stuff...folks can't even wait for the veterans to have their day before they start stringing lights. I think people are desperate for celebration in their lives. What do you think?

  2. I think you are right that people need celebration in their lives. I'll have to wander through the neighborhood and take pictures - some of these people have really gone all out.

When the kids were little we used to decorate, now I throw up a few window gels and call it good.

What I dislike is seeing Valentine decorations intermingles with the last remnants of Chrismas... come on stores, REALLY?

  3. lol...dogs are the best listeners! they never talk back and don't argue with you.
I have been noticing the decorations too, and enjoying it.
I have a total of 3 Halloween decorations.
    But I love seeing others.
